Beca International Consultants Ltd (Beca). Beca is a multi-disciplinary consultancy with headquarters in Auckland, New Zealand and regional and project offices throughout South-East Asia and the Pacific region. The organisation was founded at the beginning of this century, and has now practised continuously for over 80 years.
The Beca organisation can provide a full range of engineering, planning and related services to handle projects from inception through design to implementation. Examples of it's work can be seen throughout New Zealand, South East Asia and the Pacific and as far afield as Afghanistan, Belize, Central America, and Tanzania in port and marine works, tunnels, roads, bridges, water supply and sanitation schemes, petrochemical and industrial plants, commercial, residential and institutional buildings.
Beca was certified to ISO 9001 in 1994 and maintains this certification through regular audits.
The Beca organisation has a permanent staff of over 1,200, the majority of whom hold professional or technical qualifications in civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering or in allied disciplines such as surveying, geology, quantity surveying, valuation, plant inspection, economics, financial and cost control.
The Beca Singapore office that provides servicing for projects in SE Asia has over 140 staff and 25 staff in their Jakarta office.
Servicing projects in other parts of the world is a major activity of Beca. They are ranked number 116 in the Engineering News Recordís latest survey of the top 200 International Design Firms. Their staff has worked around the globe from Africa to China to Central America with local partners and have developed extensive financial and project management systems, and a network of people and resources to handle a variety of engineering projects.
