QUAKESTAR WEBSITE REVAMPED

The QuakeStar concept is to grade building earthquake performance(one to five stars) for each of Safety, Damage and Repair Time. This will help engineers, building users and the community look beyond safety to other factors affecting the resilience of buildings in major earthquakes. Worksheets to help engineers to turn results of assessments into QuakeStar ratings have been developed for both Commercial and Residential buildings. These are now shown on a recently revamped QuakeStar website, www.quakestar.org.nz which also includes a Powerpoint presentation outlining the QuakeStar concept and processes.
